my 2 cents….
been working on the internet for over 20 years … servers, programming … advertising … we have seen it all. We were there when Goog started, when Twtter started, when FB started … Goog been the data collector ever since it started -the are the connection… designed to be so from the beginning. Anyone who didn't play along couldn't make money. Right… do no evil. Sure! Who the hell ever believed that nonsense. How can it be allowed to share and even sell 'private data'? One can argue that users allowed in return for free services. To me that sounds more like blackmail. When the truth of this comes out it will not just affect social networks but the whole industry. No one will ever trust anyone anymore. Without trust this industry is finished. Was around in 2000 and aw what happened. It was bad! This is going to be a 1000 times worse.
