>Barr can fire Berman, correct anons?
28 U.S. Code sec. 541(c)
Each United States Attorney is subject to removal by the President.
>9683570 is the sauce
U.S. Code says President can fire him. End of story. I think POTUS leaves him there for a reason.
[pb: 9683456] Berman recused himself in Michael Cohen investigation – coordinating with a foreign gov on this? Clears way for FISA?
Why nominate a replacement for Berman when you have a FISA warrant on him? Keep him in place and watch/hear his every move. See what his does to cover for his friends.
If so: brilliant move. The war is won before it is fought.
I believe the AG can do it on orders from the President but not on his own initiative, per 28 U.S.C. 541(c).
… and then I remind myself, it's not about who is correct, but what is right.
