Radiometric dating assumes standard atmospheric conditions over time. However, trapped air bubbles in amber have been show to have as much as 50% more oxygen. If the oxygen content of the atmosphere was much greater at one point, but dating methods assume far less oxygen, then dating methods would be thrown exponentially off…thousands become millions.

 

Incidentally, the size of some of the animals found in the fossil record could not live in our atmosphere. A brontosaurus couldn't take in enough action to be able to live. Would be dead in a few hours. Indicates there was indeed far more oxygen in the atmosphere at one point.
