I had a million questions for him, and over the short time we lived together, I got the impression the whole system is corrupt.
If you have a good idea, you stand the chance of getting your idea stolen FAR MORE often than you'd expect.
You'll end up selling the original idea for pennies to a company that is a subsidiary of a larger corporation who will remake the entire idea until it's unrecognizable, then make bank off it.
Best bet is to try to get as much done on your own/with your team as possible so you can fight in court.
TLDR They want to take your shit, but if they have to fight for it, they probably won't fight.
