BEIJING has deleted online news detailing the real death toll from the deadly clash with India in the Galwan Valley, censoring comments by India's prime minister Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech to chief ministers on June 18 is now unavailable to view from China. Comments by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have also been deleted from two Chinese social media accounts, Wechat and Weibo. It comes after an Indian minister taunted China over the number of fatalities.

Impeaching U.S. Attorney General Barr ‘waste of time’, top Democrat Nadler says

WASHINGTON – U.S. Attorney General William Barr deserves to be impeached over the firing of a federal prosecutor whose office had investigated President Donald Trump’s lawyer but the effort would be a “waste of time,” a leading Democratic lawmaker said on Sunday.
Jerrold Nadler, the Judiciary chairman who helped lead a House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry into Trump last year, told CNN’s “State of the Union” the Republican-led Senate would block any such effort.
“I think he deserves impeachment. He certainly deserves impeachment. But again, that’s a waste of time because the Republicans in the Senate won’t look at that and we have, we have other ways of getting at this,” Nadler said.
Nadler said his panel would investigate Trump’s firing of prosecutor Geoffrey Berman on Saturday after an extraordinary standoff between Barr and the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, which has not shied from taking on figures in Trump’s orbit and has been investigating his private lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

According to a CBS Sports report, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said that the conference will reconsider hosting conference championship events in Mississippi if the state does not change its flag, which features a confederate insignia in its design.
“It is past time for change to be made to the flag of the State of Mississippi,” Sankey stated. “Our students deserve an opportunity to learn and compete in environments that are inclusive and welcome to all. In the event there is no change, there will be consideration of precluding Southeastern Conference championship events from being conducted in the State of Mississippi until the state flag is changed.”
This statement came about when Mississippi state lawmakers have re-ignited discussions about changing the state flag. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves hasn’t backed this legislative push. Reeves said that all changes to the state flag should be brought about by statewide election. The last time state residents voted on the flag was in 2001, where they decided to keep the confederate emblem in place.
