Anon remembers hearing something about how the Southern District of New York and New Jersey DA’s offices are politically and culturally very different from each other, and that sometimes staff leaves SDNY for the calmer, saner environment of NJ. That got me thinking, so I googled around and discovered that one of the main NJ District Attorney offices is in Trenton, the seat of Mercer County. Among other functions of that office is the Special Prosecutions Division, which handles public corruption cases.

Does anon know if it’s possible for an DA’s office or staff member to investigate crimes outside the state?
