History and vocabulary lesson for today.

Hebrew

A designation first used for Abram (Abraham), distinguishing him from his Amorite neighbors. It was used thereafter to refer to Abraham’s descendants through his grandson Jacob as well as to their language. By the time of Jesus, the Hebrew language had come to include many Aramaic expressions and was the language spoken by Christ and his disciples.—Ge 14:13; Ex 5:3; Ac 26:14.

Judaism

Judaism (originally from Hebrew יהודה, Yehudah, "Judah";[1][2] via Latin and Greek) is an ethnic religion comprising the collective religious, cultural and legal tradition and civilization of the Jewish people.[3][4] Judaism is considered by religious Jews to be the expression of the covenant that God established with the Children of Israel.[5] It encompasses a wide body of texts, practices, theological positions, and forms of organization. The Torah is part of the larger text known as the Tanakh or the Hebrew Bible, and supplemental oral tradition represented by later texts such as the Midrash and the Talmud. With between 14.5 and 17.4 million adherents worldwide,[6] Judaism is the tenth largest religion in the world.

So a Hebrew is a descendant of Abraham through Jacob. A jew, is a Hebrew who agreed to the covenant after Moses and it became essentially a religion, or way of life, which is the actual definition of what a religion really is.

So, Jesus was a Jew right? The apostles were Jews right? Now I mean in the ethical sense for these questions. They were Hebrews and not gentiles.

Jesus did not come here to change a darn thing, the law stands and still condemns everyone both Hebrew and non Hebrew alike. The blood of Christ is the redeeming blood of the lamb.

What we call Christianity today is not really what it sounds like. A, "Christian," was called that because they followed Christ. Christ was a Hebrew and Jewish and so were the apostles. What do you think Jesus will be when He comes back?

A Hebrew and a Jew, both spiritually and ethnically. Gods definition of a Jew is my chosen people and God can choose whoever He wants. There are two different ways of looking at the term Jew. One is being a spiritual Jew meaning, not necessarily ethnically Hebrew but accepted as Jewish because of faith in Jesus and through Jesus God.
