Boston Native, Levine went to an all-male prep school before studying at Harvard and Tulane Medical School. She, later on, she got a fellowship at Mount Sinai, in New York. At Mt Sinai, she was the chief resident of the Children’s Hospital. Prior to her appointment by Gov. Tom Wolf to be the state’s physician general in January 2015 Levine was running the eating disorder clinic at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
During her time at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Rachel served, Levine created a unique program that served teens, children, and young adults with eating disorders using a multidisciplinary approach, examining the patients’ physical and mental well-being through psychiatry, Nutrition, And Psychology.
