What chance did any of "these" you mention above have of avoiding this?

Wouldn't it be better if they were freed from all of the above and given a chance to reform?

Sugar doesn't cause it- just makes it worse,

and it goes way back. 1550 BC.

Way before processed sugar came along. The real problem is the body can't process the sugar and elevates the blood sugar which make it a threat.
