I remember watching one video on youtube, where guy made heat engine.

He used to transfer heat from compressed Freon to air compressor which later heated Stirling engine with a hot stream of air.

The guy claimed, that with the right industrial Freon, the engine could run on temps like -32 C (because Freon can be cooled to lower temps and he changes state from liquid to gas at pretty low temps).

The engine of this type used something like "solar panels", they were painted in black to transfer heat faster to cooled Freon.

Always wondered if this type of engine is possible

If I remember it right, he used three compressors:

One to cool off Freon and change it state to liquid, Second to heat Freon gas, and third to compress heated air, so it was quite loud machine :D also knowing that Stirling engine works like diesel motor
