Ask and he shall receive. Believe and it will be done.
Try an inner conversation with God. Get closure quicker by asking for forgiveness of your unbelief and your sins. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. This is why Jesus came and died for our sin.
Try asking God to speak to you, then listen. God will not tell you to sin, so you can discern the voice. Practice asking and listening. eventually you will hear the small voice all day.

Pray continually, talk to God continually is a better definition. Prayer is not a ritual of words, but a conversation.
