FB/Goog/TWTR all own small offshoot companies, share info and bridge info together. Goog uses algorithms to piece together IP addresses into user profiles.
think of all the crumbs one leaves browsing the web, agreeing to electronic medical records, CCs, etc… Once they completed user profiles the next logical step was listening to people through their microphones, web/phone cams.
you walk into a store and you receive a text message. they can get your phone number, log it into a database, search it and send you targeted deals. each message has a fingerprint and as more fingerprints get associated they improve ability to track across platforms.
