Good question! I asked my doc how it was I came from two '+' parents. In math, two positives do not ever equal a negative. He quickly replied that he and his wife were both +, they had a child who was -. It does happen, but not knowing exactly how our blood works, the proof is elusive as to how it happens.

ANY mother who has positive blood, when a negative blood type is present and growing in her body, her white blood cells perceive that the negative blood is foreign and begin to attack the invader, thus causing death to the unborn growing inside her. Doesn't matter what blood type- this is why RHogam was created; to trick a woman's body in to NOT destroying the foreign (-) blood invader.
