I read this this morning and used it to convince my elderly parents it's time to buy a new pump for their pool. They were just telling me how their 30 year old one randomly makes a high pitched whirring sound which goes away if you bang on it. When I read this article I just assumed something failed internally on the pump and they were electrocuted.
I was surprised how quickly they "solved" it.
