my take is one parents are in DS, Mil Indust Complex, they feel they can offer you benefits and protection within the network that 'feeds' them.

my parents, when i was exposed and introduced initially described it (the network/opportunity) as 'a shortcut'.

yes there was clear power and shortcuts, anything i wanted was given. (i was young and did not ask for much so it was easy for the system to give) i wanted an mba, a friend just happened to know the dean of an elite college, and we dropped by said hello to the secretary and waltzed in. i got in trouble with the cops during college (misdemeanor) and my dad said your uncle gave me a number for you for a lawyer, i knew the power when said lawyers son was a powerful politician, the case literally disappeared as in never habbened, no records? lawyer just said i took care of it, and said there is no bill, a favor.

i left the 'group'early after college even though i was given a great opportunity before i had to commit to things my parents could not protect me from.

i gave up being an elite, a higher tier, in which my mistakes would be given passes, that normal peeople would be punished for, i gave up being pushed to the front of the line and given preferential treatment in a america i thought was based on hard work and merit. that is not true, its all connections and networks, not to say normal peops cannot get ahead, but elites take the opportunties first, normies get whats left.

i gave up being a million guaranteed, and may be someday but have freedom and am not beholden to anyone except doing the right thing and following (trying to) god law.
