Human remains found inside van of deceased family's estate

This all transpired on Friday when attorney Dave Crosby says he got a call from one of his mechanics saying he found a skull on the Northwest Las Vegas property.

That mechanic brought the remains to Crosby’s Downtown office and police came to investigate.

“He says I found the skull I don’t know what to do with it,” said Crosby, of Crosby & Fox, LLC. “I said where did you find it? And he said it was in between the two bucket seats.”

“He said well it’s been sawed in half and one of the halves that had been sawed in half was crushed,” said Crosby.

That wasn’t the only thing that seemed odd.

“He thought it has sulfuric acid on it and he was- he wrote me an email saying I think my fingers are dissolving,” said Crosby.

Police told Crosby that was probably formaldehyde.

Crosby says the son and father who owned the estate passed away more than a year ago.

“It was stacked with so much junk and so much stuff,” he said. “Nobody could get in and we had a caretaker that was the administrator of the two estates - she left it to whoever’s gonna buy the place to do the cleanup.”

News 3’s Tiffany Lane asked Crosby if he thinks the previous owners could have participated in anything weird.

“I don’t want to say much because they were a little bit strange, but I don’t say that in the sense that they could have been persons that would commit a murder or anything like that,” he responded.

The mechanic brought the remains in a box to Crosby’s office after the discovery on Friday.

And police and the coroner came by to gather more information.

“When homicide showed up that’s what they had told me is that they don’t show up unless it’s human remains,” said Crosby.

Police told News 3 they don’t believe the remains are connected to a homicide.

We asked Crosby if he believes the remains could be linked to the previous owners.

“Yes, they’re the only ones that could have put it there as far as I know. It was their home,” he said.

Crosby says the home has already been sold and he is working on selling the personal items, including the van where the remains were found.

Again, the fault for this lies at Qteam's door. The plan has been to foment violence against police all along so that the military to come in. It is nothing short of disgusting. It's what [THEY] have done for years, - purposely setting up situations that cause innocent people to be hurt to further [their] own agenda. This anon doesn't find that honorable at all. "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil."

Qteam is using [their] tactics; doesnt matter the intent behind it. /They/ are driving this narrative, therefore, /they/ are responsible. Shameful.

Hundreds ‘ambush’ Tampa police responding to report of shots fired, 2 officers injured, chief says

Officers were responding to a report of shots fired and a possible gunshot victim at an intersection near the Ybor City neighborhood around 1 a.m., Chief Brian Duggan told reporters Monday. A crowd of hundreds was at the scene when police arrived.

As offices searched for a possible victim, Duggan said the hundreds of people blocked all four ends of the intersection and became aggressive. The crowd surrounded officers, threw bottles and glass, and jumped on a police vehicle. Officers could not locate a victim.

"It's an ambush. I have no other way to describe it,” Duggan said. “When there are that many people out there and clearly no one had been shot. It was just a set up to get the cops there."
