Also I think the shape around the fruit and leaf represents the dough used to make Ma'amoul. This is a Syrian stuffed cookie. You make a dough and fill it with a mixture of ground pistachio and chopped dates.

 

Google "ma'amoul maker" to see how the dough is usually made with serrated edges.

 

Looking at the pictures it seems this may be the ancestor of the French madeleine which would be an unstuffed version, i.e. it is a virgin ma'amoul because it is not stuffed and therefore named after a biblical virgin Mary Magdalen.

 

For extra points write two paragraphs on stuffed sausages (Russian sosiska) and the word suck (Russian sositi) compared to the word Kolbasa (slavic style sausage) and Turkish Kul Basti meaning HAND PRESSED. And think about all of that when the pornfags fail to show up this evening.
