Reservation Anon here, non native..I live in a checkerboard county on the rez where we have whites and natives mixed. Natives are disgruntled because they just want to be seen as human beings that have their own culture. They don't want whitey coming in telling them what to do, etc. They feel if the reservations are abolished that then they will be absorbed into the white way and if that happens then their culture will be erased and Natives will no longer be. They fear losing their tribes and losing their heritage and culture. I dealt with severe racism here but funny enough.. once this BLM shit started, all of a sudden they started to treat me better because they understand what it's like to be on the receiving end of racism. (Dont get me wrong.. I used to feel that white guilt shit until I realized it's not me who is racist…it's THEM..) BUT.. this BLM shit made it to where now we are united. All of a sudden the Natives here started to treat me better. They don't want to hate whites. They just want to be seen and acknowledged as they are and not try to change them. We have a lockdown and curfew. I was on here raising hell wanting to abolish reservations too but then had some heart to hearts with my native frens and well.. it's all a misunderstanding. I'm here red pilling them though. I'm letting them know the people creating all of this are in the same bloodlines as the people who wiped them all out. I'm telling them we've come full circle since Lincoln. I explain why custer wanted the gold etc.. All I have to do is wake one of them up and then they spread the word because they have hive mind too.. I'm almost where my friend is red pilled. I told him there's a rumor there may be a fake alien invasion and I tell him that's just a rumor but in case they DID try it, I let him know I am sharing that info with him so we can kek. Well the other night he saw elon musk's fleet and he shit his pants thinking omg here it is.. the fake alien invasion..kek. He texted me at 3:30 am when he saw it and texted his son telling him maybe I was right. I exlained that's elon's fleet and he was all ears now.. He realizes I have info he doesn't have access to because the news won't tell him and he doesn't know where to even begin but now he listens when I tell him stuff. He's almost there and once he is in, they will all wake up. Word travels FAST. The Native world is tiny.
I'll give you a small example: When whitey shakes hands, we want a nice, firm grip. That shows confidence. If someone has a weak handshake, in the white world, we look down on that. We immediately judge the person based on their dead fish handshake. We think they're weak or not confident, etc. Native Americans shake hands DIFFERENTLY. They don't want to be grabbed..they feel that a simple touch of the hands is enough. They go to the contact and that's it.. so when they go shake a white person's hand you see them brace themselves and tense up for the firm grip they're about to receive.. But when all of a sudden you understand how they shake hands and so you just softly touch their plam with your palm, then they light up because they see someone is understanding their way. It's just about respect and understanding, I guess.. It's just misunderstandings of how diff cultures work. They aren't Christian.. their old ways are explained differently but in essence it's all one God we serve. We have soooo much in common but just diff ways of expressing it. They want to do pow wow and sweat lodge. Pow wows are like church for whitey. They dance to lift up their spirits.. the drums send prayers out. They pray with Eagle feathers because man is not pure in heart but animals are so they use feathers and natural stuff as a way to send out their prayers because they believe the prayer is offered by ways of a pure animal and so they respect God in that way. They have their own way of doing things and thinking and they just want to be able to have their own freedom of religion and their way. You don't go to some village in Africa or South America and expect people to act like in the USA, etc..you understand you are in a diff country and don't try to go change them all.. Same thing.. That's all they want.
