Thank you, Baker!
Kek! Yes, been there.
My mother is siberian what makes me half russian. Grew up as a german in Germany.
Loved it there back in the soviet days – pure adventure as a kid, but you're right: Most men were drunk 'cause booze was cheap and women had to keep the shit together…. but, among other things, hunting, fishing and hiking through the taiga was great.
Things have changed quite significantly though since then, in some areas at least. One city where I've been hosted the biathlon world championship a couple of years ago and I couldn't recognize it.
A couple of years ago I read about Putin allowing russians who fled stalinism or the soviet union (or their descendants) back into russia.
The law established would also give them a piece of land in the east.
Left Germany after school for the US, and I thought about Russia quite a bit … still thinking now that I'm coming of age …. Kek!
I know it's useless to ask: But how was this "prioritized"?
What does it mean that it was "prioritized"?
And how would I know or notice?
