The only person against whom evidence can be collected and used in court in the Cohen raid is Cohen. Anyone client info discovered is inadmissible as would be any investigations triggered by the discovery of privileged information.
They would only need a distraction if they were planting evidence in advance of the raid. Again, anything of note would be privileged anyway, so i am not sure how this plays out.
