My read is that Mouaz is a genuine guy who wants peace in Syria, but was dudded by the false hope provided by Hussein. Having seen, through the virtual defeat of ISIS, that Trump can actually win wars rather than intentionally prolong them, he believes in Trump. You can see his increased faith in GEOTUS in his recent Tweets.
