It is a good question. There was a time where a man would never dream of breaking an oath or so they say. The bible teaches we are not to make oaths. How does taking the oath make any changes to what I am prepared to do? If the time comes that we must defend our country with my life my country does not need words. It will receive my body/blood/life. The oath already exist inside my DNA.
