A military civilian alliance is very much how our government use to work when the federal government was pretty much congress, president, judges. Privateers, militias, regular folks to call upon whenever enemies threaten the homeland. Small networks of patriots ready to heed the call for their country. They always leave out the part in the second amendment about the right to having a free standing militia. A military civilian alliance is as American as it gets.

The great thing about it is that there are so many now that we don't all have to be out in force or all anonymous. The public show of support is great. Ribbons for Special Elections
The special deputation for overseeing federal elections brought its own "badge." The ribbon for these events gave the wearer special status for the event.
