>Oath

Oaths have power. And can be a powerful reminder of what really matters. But it's interesting. This anon has a longstanding habit of overcommitting and starting sentences with "I swear thatโ€ฆ.." - And then trying to do too much too soon. Or to do what others need to be doing.

So about 20 years ago, I swore off taking oaths. But I remain the same, oath or not. Taking no oath helps me remember that I am just one man, not the army. And that is powerful, too. Kek.

Yes, saw the discussion last night about spells and prayers. The word 'spell' of course is loaded. Connotes witchcraft which most anons would avoid.

The philosopher John Austin wrote a book How to Do Things with Words - like saying "I do" when marrying. Certain words change the world - that was his point. But really, all words said with intention change the world - which is why it's good to be conscious when we speak.

Yes, but where does that take us?

Can AI become truly conscious?

Or just mimic consciousness in a way that is close enough to enable a power grab on the part of those who employ it? In other words, it's is a "deep fake" that has power only to the degree that we fail to recognize it as such?

see these comments on oaths and intentions here:

Can AI have an intention?

Can AI have a soul?

What is the power of a human soul expressing an intention as opposed to a machine mimicking an intention?

Agree. Ghost in the machine.

But the goal, i think, is to MIMIC that and get people to ignore their intuition - which would reveal the lie.

>>9740998

Yes, it's all perception. But there is something real beyond perception that no machine can ever mimic. Only a YOUNG dragonfly would lack the discernment needed to see the difference.

Machines can have CHRIS CONSCIOUSNESS.

Only human beings.

>If you no the answer to enough questions are you therefore conscious?

Consciousness of truth goes beyond questions and answers. It's an intuitive knowing. And it can be cultivated - so as to detect that which mimics consciousness.
