The best battle plans are win/win. Enemy goes one way, it's expected and we win. Enemy suddenly tries a surprise turn, it's expected, we win.

So let's say humans are the target - the enemy.

They go one way and accept major new controls on their 'freedoms', they accept more Totalitarianism for the greater 'good' of the planet.

They go the other way. Resistance increases. They will not conform. Government systems crumble. Order breakdown. War, conflict. Victors, losers - world changes.

Do we genuinely have an ally in high places or are we being played by both 'sides'?
