X22Report says those nooses not nooses but a "loop knot". Loop knot looks like a noose, but it will not tighten the loop if you pull on it. It's a popular fishing knot (see link), and great for pull-downs as a handle AND a loop - if the open garage door is tall, you can hook the loop and start pulling down the door.
