COVID-19 Lethality Continues to Decline
While this second spike (B) in new cases has just now reached the peak of the first (A), there has NOT been a corresponding spike in deaths (D) as we saw with the first (C). As the President stated at his rally in Tulsa, the new spike likely reflects increased testing, not necessarily "a reemergence" of the virus. If the number of cases continues to climb while the death rate continues at the same rate, this will mean that the lethality of the virus will continue to decline.
