They are going to try to steal the 2020 election. They are already projecting their plans onto Trump. What they accuse Trump of - is what they are planning. Schiff is trying to assure their theft of the election will work (by stopping the policing of state elections) allowing them to regain power in 2020.

Whatever Trump does to assure that the election is legit, the Democrats plan to attack it. Instead of a Russian Hoax, they have a Election Fraud hoax locked and loaded. For example….
If Trump sends military in to assure voting rights, Dems will claim he stole the election through military interference.
If Trump doesn't use military to assure voting rights, Dems will STILL claim he stole the election through inaction.
