87 yo mother with pre-diabetic high cholesterol, over weight, on lots of medications. After father died I took her in, put her through 3-4 days workout on weights each week in my garage gym. She lost 15 pounds, no longer pre-diabetic, blood work perfect after a year. No more drugs. I told her, we're not going to have you fall down and yell, "Help, I've fallen and can't get up." She's fallen twice since, got up both time very proudly.
Anyone can do it if they are motivated.
