Belt and Road: China-Kenya Rail Contract Ruled Illegal
A Kenyan appellate court has declared a $3.2 billion rail contract between Kenya and the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) illegal, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Tuesday.
Kenya’s Court of Appeal ruled on Friday that state-owned Kenya Railways had “failed to comply with and violated” the nation’s laws “in the procurement of the SGR [Standard Gauge Railway] project.”

Nadler: House Democrats ‘May Very Well’ Pursue Impeaching AG Barr
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) stated Wednesday that his committee “may very well” move to impeach Attorney General William Barr after he advised for Geoff Berman, the US. attorney for the Southern District of New York, to be removed from his post.
“We’re looking into that, we may very well,” Nadler told reporters when asked about a possible impeachment inquiry into Barr. “I think the weight of the evidence and of what’s happened leads to that conclusion.”

Yahoo Pushes For Replacing Star-Spangled Banner With John Lennon’s Imagine
‘This is about the deep-seated legacy of slavery and white supremacy in America’
The Editor in Chief of Yahoo Music is calling for America’s national anthem to be replaced with a song by John Lennon of The Beatles.
In an article released Wednesday titled, “Why it might be time to finally replace ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ with a new national anthem,” Yahoo’s Lyndsey Parker claimed the song is “striking a note” with the politically correct mob.
She pointed out that last week, “protesters” in San Francisco tore down a statue of the song’s composer Francis Scott Key.
Parker noted Key was a slaveholder, but The Washington Examiner provided further context, explaining he “opposed abolition but also represented slaves trying to win their freedom in court, for no charge. It turns out like many historical figures, Key was a complicated man.”
The Yahoo writer then asked, “So, is it time for this country to dispense with ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and adopt a new anthem with a less troubling history and a more inclusive message?”

American Soccer Team Replaces National Anthem With Song by ‘Antifa’ Musician
Team says ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ does not represent their diverse players, fans and community
An American soccer club says they will no longer play The Star-Spangled Banner before home games and will replace it with a song interpreted by many as having Marxist undertones.
The Tulsa Athletic, a semi-professional team based in Oklahoma, announced the decision to nix the National Anthem in order to “create an inclusive community.”
Instead, Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” will be performed by local musicians during pregame formalities.
The club cited the Anthem’s third verse, which includes the lines, “No refuge could save the hireling and slave / From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,” as a driving factor behind the move.
“While this verse is rarely sung, Tulsa Athletic does not believe ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ represents or unites their diverse players, fans and community,” the Athletic said in a press release.
Team co-owner Sonny Dalesandro said his organization has endeavored to develop “a culture of inclusion and acceptance.”
