Democrats are ALL about identity politics. Here is an example. Pay attention to the wording and think it through. What is the poster trying to get you to believe? What is the poster saying. What is the poster not saying? What is being implied?
Here is why I think Democrats love identity politics so much. It can be a very useful tool to control what people think.
Not all that long ago, around 30 or 40 years ago, when it came to party affiliation, people either fell into the Democrat or Republican party based on their currently held beliefs, which usually were a result of how they were raised, the point being that the beliefs came first and then those beliefs generally determined which party you felt more comfortable with.
Something happened though between then and now, people started changing their beliefs to fit which ever party they felt they belonged to. In other words, the party came first and then the beliefs were modified to fit the party. The party started leading people around by the nose.
