If you're gonna nominate a notable, you are obligated to provide the baker something he can nom - preferably sweet and doughy - while he digests your nom.
Clear like mud now?

Southern state anon here…no offense, but in all honesty I don't want you to come to my state. Here's why - there have already been a large number of people, just like you, who have moved to my state. They brought with them much higher paying salaries than the people who live and work here before the influx of people from northern states, and as a result real estate prices have skyrocketed in the area.
The downside of this is that the people who have lived here their entire lives, and who have been living on lower wage jobs due to the lower economic base, have seen their jobs mostly decimated when Obonehead and others exported their jobs. Now, they are unable to live in the area and close to better schools, health care, etc., and have to live farther out and drive farther in to jobs with wages that don't increase enough to sustain the additional burdens.
And to top the whole thing off, most of the people who have moved here brought their fucked in the ass political views with them and have come in such numbers to change this once reliably red state into a "battleground".
And they also brought the retarded traffic fucking circle, when a four-way intersection and stop signs worked just fine for centuries.
So, knowing anon that you're probably not one of those people from a political stand point, I'd say you're pretty welcome to come - provided you bring some intention to use whatever influence you can to hire local and jack their wages up.
Because, to be quite honest, I'd take the good, hardworking common sense of most folks from neck of the woods to what's come from yours, so far.
Again, no offense. Another option is to stay up there and vote those fuckers out of office, and fix yer shit. But that's just me.
Really, I'll apologize a bit too for sounding so harsh. I don't mind different customs (to an extent) but what really chaps my hide is to see people who've lived here their whole lives lose out because they didn't attend upscale colleges or have better industries to sustain them - much of the industry in the south was decimated by NAFTA and all the other fuckery.
People of your caliber are welcome, sure. But I wish I knew how to level the economic playing field for people of the South. At this point, for most folks in the area it's hard not to look at ANYONE who moves down here as a carpetbagger.
That being said, I have mountains a few hours from me, and beaches a few hours from me. It's a nice place.
But is it worth the weight?
