There used to be a minor league baseball team in Memphis, TN called The Memphis Chicks. Short for "Chickasaws", which were an Indian tribe that once in habited that area.
Anyway in 1997 the PC Police caused them to change the name.
In the 70s-80s it was considered funny/gay that a men's baseball team would be called the Chicks but it was all good fun and nobody really imagined the players would be trannies or fucking each other in the showers.
