Probably not.

But I also know that I did all within my power to simply live here and learn how the folks ahead of me got things done. That's really all I am asking. Come here. Learn here. Don't try to make us like the place you were driven from.

Like many northerners, I was born in the south and raised up north near larger cities. I had the advantage of excellent suburban schools, but also grew up with a basic respect for the land of my ancestors.

That's all I am counseling others to do. Just leave "up nawth" wherever you came from and come to the south with a clean slate and very little in the way of expectations.
