Conviction and removal from office is more difficult.
I believe that many of the Congresspeople did not have their ID's checked before taking office - same as what happened with Obama.
And they are involved with smuggling and blackmail; Once the Awan trial begins maybe this can begin to be aired?
Once their position as Congressional authorities is shown to be tied up with a large criminal conspiracy, perhaps then they would be barred from removing President Trump from office?
I believe a worse fear is that they will just try to kill him. I don't believe they themselves are clean enough to every reach the "removal from office" stage.
It all a lot of PR and whipping up hate in the population. So if he does get killed they can cover-up like they always do? Or so they imagine?
That's how I see it. I could be completely wrong. (But not about the fake ID's among Congresspeople nor about the Awan spy ring. kek. Look at the list of those who employed Awan. How many had adequate background checks?)
We know Awan and his family did not get background checks. And Imran was working there for over 10 years!
