>How to handle sales tax without coin?
>Abolish it? Maybe ….
The push for elimination of cash comes to mind also.
Push debit cards (that takes care of sales tax decimal/fractions).
Will there be a gov't push for crypto? Doubt it. Gov't would want to control. Debit card system already exists, people familiar with it.
Q told us "gold SHALL end the Fed" and the structure is going to change.
I've long wondered if they will come up (eventually, after the citizens are properly motivated by a hyperinflation) to go to a gold standard, but use debit cards. Banks somewhat eliminated... with debit card statements available on-line from a restructured Fed.
Eliminate credit cards (that is a poor man's currency printing machine), and the current form of banks and their ridiculous interest rates. Banks become localized lenders, who only lend money to those who are a good credit risk.
People have to learn to live within their means (paycheck/savings). That becomes easier to do if manufacturing returns to US. Along w/ merit based immigration, etc.
I like the idea of Federal Income Tax being abolished. Debatable if we should add in a small national sales tax (so everyone rich or poor pays the same % towards national security, etc.)
States get revenue from prop tax, sales tax, fuel tax, and more. Needs to be capped. Runaway state gov't in my area. They kill the businesses that produce the most revenue with b.s. legislation, and then raise the taxes on the little people.
Anyway, if paying in cash, sales tax rounded to the nearest whole $.
