U.S. District Court Judge Gary Sharpe issued a preliminary injunction on June 26 saying that de Blasio and Cuomo (as well as Attorney General Letitia James) exceeded their authority by putting restrictions on people of faith while simultaneously condoning the protests.

By allowing the protests, they were "encouraging what they knew was a flagrant disregard of the outdoor limits and social distancing rules." In doing so, de Blasio and Cuomo "sent a clear message that mass protests are deserving of preferential treatment."

Two Catholic priests and three Orthodox Jews sued and won.

My organization, the Catholic League, encourages people of faith to beware all future restrictions placed on them by de Blasio and Cuomo. They exposed themselves as frauds when they gave the green light to thousands of protesters who took to the streets, night after night, while imposing draconian restrictions on the faithful. And they did nothing about those who totally ignored their responsibility to peaceably assemble.

President Trump on Friday tweeted out an FBI wanted poster picturing 15 unidentified suspects wanted in connection with the attempted toppling of a statue of Andrew Jackson in the capital — along with a stern warning.

“MANY people in custody, with many others being sought for Vandalization of Federal Property in Lafayette Park. 10 year prison sentences!” the commander-in-chief tweeted.

China weaponized tax software

When a U.K.-based technology vendor started doing business in China, it hired a cybersecurity firm to proactively hunt for any digital threats that could arise as part of doing business in the country. The firm discovered a problem, one with such major implications that it alerted the FBI.

A state-owned bank in China had required the tech company to download software called Intelligent Tax to facilitate the filing of local taxes. The tax software worked as advertised, but it also installed a hidden back door that could give hackers remote command and control of the company’s network, according to a report published Thursday by the SpiderLabs team at Chicago-based Trustwave Holdings Inc. (The cybersecurity firm declined to identify the bank).

“Basically, it was a wide-open door into the network with system-level privileges and command and control server completely separate from the tax software’s network infrastructure,” Brian Hussey, vice president of cyber threat detection and response at Trustwave, wrote in a blog post, also published Thursday. The malware, which Trustwave dubbed GoldenSpy, isn’t downloaded and installed until two hours after the tax software installation is completed, he said.

The Left have all gone stark raving mad!!

Members of the Tennessee chapter of Planned Parenthood burned the American flag in public protest of the recent passing of a state bill banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

An activist wearing the mask of the state’s Republican Gov. Bill Lee lit the flag on fire in the back of a pickup truck and placed it in a trash can while others who appear to be in Handmaid’s Tale costumes chanted and looked on before extinguishing the fire.

One member, who was dressed as Lady Liberty, then waved a new white-and-red striped flag, distinguishable from the American flag by its lack of stars. She announced that the destruction of the old would lead to the creation of a “new world order.” She then led a chant, asking, “What do we want? Justice. When do we want it? Now.” A 200-car caravan audience echoed her sentiments.
