Bill Gates says ‘final hurdle’ to distributing a Covid-19 vaccine will be convincing people to TAKE IT

Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates lamented the US is 'not even close' to doing enough to fight the pandemic, before warning that the vaccine he wants to inject into every human on the planet does require their consent first.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper at a CNN town hall on Thursday, Gates insisted the US was “experiencing a rebound” in Covid-19 infections even accounting for the increase in testing. That increase, the software tycoon reminded his interviewers, was accomplished by local governments in spite of - not because of - the White House.

Gates seemed miffed that Washington wasn’t following his instructions more closely, complaining that “it’s possible to ramp up testing for a new pathogen very, very fast” if they’d just do as they were told. He blamed the higher infection numbers in the US, which continues to lead the world with upwards of 2.5 million confirmed cases and over 125,000 deaths, on the nation’s failure to adopt the same measures as everyone else.

“Other countries” are “restraining their behavior,” imposing restrictive lockdowns and quarantines, and adopting comprehensive contact tracing, Gates hinted, sounding impatient with the US’ “very large case spread,” which he called “embarrassing.”

Some people almost feel like [Covid-19 is] a political thing, which is unfortunate.

“Even to inconvenience themselves with masks requires maybe someone they know to not only test positive but maybe get very sick as well,” he added.

Gates, who has repeatedly expressed a desire to inoculate the world’s population with whatever vaccine emerges from the research laboratories he is funding, admitted the shot might be rolled out before it’s working perfectly. “It’s possible the vaccine will be better at protecting you individually and not stop you from transmitting…it’s not guaranteed that the vaccine will be a perfect transmission blocker.”

Boasting that “the logistics in the US are not an issue at all,” Gates bragged that “we can get this thing out there” before acknowledging that “you’ll have a ‘choice’ whether you take the vaccine or not, so there’s that final hurdle.”

Students Are Demanding A Professor Be Fired For Opposing Slavery

Students are petitioning to have a professor at Loyola University New Orleans fired over his opinions on slavery, even though he vehemently opposes it.

Economics professor Walter Block says he opposes slavery because he is a libertarian, but that reasoning isn’t good enough for some students, who wish to see the professor removed because he doesn’t have exactly the same opinions as they do.

A petition, signed by over 600 students, alleges that Block has ‘racist and sexist beliefs’.

The petition claims that Block “has publicly stated that he believes slavery to be wrong because it goes against Libertarianism, not because it is morally wrong.”

“If Loyola is really wanting to remove racism, they should remove racists from teaching,” it adds.

“While it is important to have professors with different views and opinions and beliefs, racist and sexist beliefs should not be a part of this,” it continues, adding “It is harmful to any non-men and any Black people to be taught that slavery isn’t morally wrong, to be taught that women don’t deserve to be paid and treated equally.”

The students also claim that Block has “ableist” opinions, in that he discriminates against people with disabilities. It claims that Block once told a student that he thinks the “Americans with Disabilities Act was a terrible law”.

The Spectator managed to get a comment from Block, as the professor told the publication “Slavery is wrong, evil and should be outlawed, and slavers be considered criminals and put in jail because it is a rights violation; it is an abomination.”

He further notes, however, that “woke” students are trying to remove him because they are not capable of accepting, co-existing with, or debating a diversity of discourse.

Facebook bends the knee, agrees to censor Trump ads after mass advertiser boycott

Facebook will change its policies to ban “hate speech” in advertisements on the platform, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced, after activists brigaded a number of major corporations to pull their ads from the platform.

“I am committed to making sure Facebook remains a place where people can use their voice to discuss important issues,” Zuckerberg said on Friday. “But I also stand against hate or anything that incites violences or suppresses voting, and we’re committed to removing that content too, no matter where it comes from.”

This will include ads critical of “immigrants, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers” CNBC reported Zuckerberg as saying.

Some Democrat activists have already interpreted this as having to ban all advertising from President Donald Trump and most Republicans.

The same groups that have led advertising boycotts against Fox News host Tucker Carlson, accusing him of “racism,” have turned their sights on Facebook last week, after Zuckerberg made the mistake of saying he will not censor political speech and advertising the way Twitter and YouTube have begun doing.

Trump Admin Prepares Revamp of Suicide Crisis Hotline

FCC hopes new three-digit number will curb suicide crisis

Administration leaders are moving to curb the nation's exploding suicide crisis through a new, three-digit number to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Federal Communications Commission chairman Ajit Pai expects to designate 988 as a special code to connect people quickly and easily to the lifeline, he told the Washington Free Beacon in an interview—a response to the two-decade surge in suicide deaths that Pai called "stunning" and "epidemic."

The change will be voted on by the full FCC at its July 16 open meeting and is expected to pass unanimously, one FCC staffer told the Free Beacon. The new code will easily direct callers to the 10-digit line currently operated by a network of publicly funded crisis centers that provide immediate counseling, mental health referrals, and emergency services to people contemplating suicide.

A suicide hotline short code, under consideration for two years, has been widely supported by suicide experts—and has grown increasingly salient as the coronavirus crisis has driven up calls for help. At the same time, those same experts have cautioned that expanded accessibility of the already overtaxed crisis hotline must be paired with more funding—Dr. Bart Andrews, a board member at the American Association of Suicidology, told the Free Beacon that current funding levels are "completely insufficient to meet the need that 988 will create."

That makes Pai and allies' move a much-needed, but likely insufficient, first step in slowing the rise of America's suicide crisis. It also puts the ball in Congress's court to ensure that increased demand for the suicide hotline is met with appropriate resources.

Earlier this week, Pai presented draft rules to his colleagues on the commission that proposed designating 988 as a short code that would redirect callers to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. If passed, the rules would oblige all service providers to forward calls to 988 no later than July 16, 2022.

The proposed changes are an implementation of the mandate of the National Suicide Hotline Improvement Act of 2018, which instructed the FCC to investigate the feasibility of a three-digit code. But they are also, Pai told the Free Beacon, a response to the surge in suicides nationwide.

"Suicide in the United States has reached levels not seen since World War II, epidemic levels especially among vulnerable populations like veterans," Pai said. "One of the thoughts that has percolated over recent years in Washington is that the designation of a three-digit number could be one way of better connecting those who are struggling with those who could help."

Minnesota State Rep. Steve Green this week warned that domestic terrorists Antifa and Muslim groups plan to “police Minneapolis under Muslim rule.”

The Minneapolis City Council two weeks ago unanimously voted a resolution to replace the police with a ‘community-led public safety system.’

If such a community patrol is launched in Minneapolis, it is likely to focus on the same things, but not do anything about the fact that the 5th Congressional District in Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, is the jihad terror recruitment capital of the United States. Stopping young Muslims from engaging in jihad activity is unlikely to be a high priority for a group that is dedicated to enforcing Sharia, since Sharia calls upon Muslims to wage war against and subjugate unbelievers.

By resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987, the UN General Assembly decided to observe 26 June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse.

Rarely acknowledged, (“legal”) drug trafficking was initiated by the British Empire. There is continuity. The colonial label has been scrapped. Today the (“illicit”) drug trade is a multibillion dollar operation.

The two main hubs of production today are:

Afghanistan which produces approximately 90% of the World supply of opium (transformed into heroin and opioid related products). There was a successful drug eradication programme in 2000-2001 which was initiated (with UN support). prior to the US-NATO led invasion in October 2001. Since the invasion and military occupation, according to UNODC, the production of opium has increased 50 fold, reaching 9000 metric tons in 2017.

The Andean region of South America (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia) which produces cocaine. Colombia is a US supported narco-state.

The Drug Economy is an integral part of Empire Building. Drug trafficking is protected by the US military and intelligence apparatus.

The Role of the British Empire

Historically, drug trafficking was an integral part of British colonialism. It was “legal”.

At its peak in the mid-19th century it accounted for roughly 15% of total colonial revenue in India and 31% of India’s exports. To supply this trade the East India Company (EIC) – and later the British Government – developed a highly regulated cultivation system in which over one million farmers a year were under contract to grow opium poppies. …

A Grateful Nation Thanks Man Who Tears Apart Seattle's CHOP and Delivers Stinging Lecture to BLM

An angry and ranting man began singlehandedly tearing apart the barricades and overturned the tables at Seattle CHOP’s so-called autonomous zone this week.

And a nation applauded.

The man, who is black, shouted “I’m sick of this!” and began grabbing the stolen objects used for the so-call “autonomous zone’s” barricades.

It was a glory to see.

The Blaze reports that the man was confronted by a BLM squatter from the encampment who held a knife. The man appears to have pulled his gun in reply.

The unidentified man, clad in a red jacket and red shoes, grabbed orange cones and launched them into a debris pile while surrounded by a smattering of CHOPistanis who hurled insults at him and told him to go home. He replied, “You go home. I’m so sick of this sh*t.”

Turning Over Tables at the Seattle Left’s ‘Temple’

He turned over tables full of supplies and did a walk-off with two hands lifted up with his fingers designating that the Antifastanis were number one, or something.

Later he delivered a lecture to the CHOP dead-enders.

Tear Gas And Dumpster Fires: Antifa Militants Try to Take Over Portland Police Station

The communist agitators in Portland once again took to the streets to protest whatever the outrage-of-the-week is, and again tried to copy-cat Seattle by setting up an “autonomous zone.” They tried that last week near vichy “mayor” Ted Wheeler’s apartment, but the police actually did their job and broke up the party.

This time, the protesters targeted Portland police’s north precinct. They did all their usual stuff, such as tagging the police building, setting up pallets and barricades, and lighting random stuff on fire, before the police moved in and actually did their job for the second time in a week, if you can believe that!

The official Portland police press release reads:

At approximately 10:00 pm, several hundred demonstrators began gathering outside North Precinct near Northeast Emerson Street and Northeast Martin Luther King Boulevard. Demonstrators arrived with supplies to build a fence and began erecting one which stretched from the south side of North Precinct to the north side of the Boys and Girls Club. While building the fence, demonstrators blocked northbound traffic at Northeast MLK Boulevard. During this time, demonstrators began throwing projectiles at police including glass bottles.

By 11:00 p.m., demonstrators began moving dumpsters and other large barriers around North Precinct. Some demonstrators began ramming the dumpsters into large garage doors located on the west side of the North Precinct in an attempt to breach the building. Demonstrators were not successful at breeching the doors so they turned their attention to barricading exit doors so officers inside the building, as well as people in custody, could not get out (photo).

By 12:00 a.m., a demonstrator in the crowd outside North Precinct began yelling over a bullhorn that they were “going to burn the building down”. Several demonstrators in the crowd were wearing masks and yielding shields. Fireworks were thrown at Officers over the barricade they had built on Northeast Emerson Street.

Around 1:00 a.m., there were still several hundred demonstrators in the crowd surrounding North Precinct. Due to life safety issues, the sound truck made an admonishment stating an unlawful assembly had been declared, instructing the crowd they needed to leave the area immediately or they could be subject to use of force or arrest.

At approximately 1:21 a.m., officers began dispersing the crowd in an effort to move them from the immediate area. While performing this lawful action, demonstrators fought with officers. Furthermore, demonstrators shot officers with paintball rounds, causing officers not to be able to see out of their face shields. Around 1:40 a.m., a mortar was launched on to the roof of North Precinct. During this time, crowd control munitions were deployed.

By 2:14 a.m., demonstrators had set the north side of North Precinct on fire. To protect the life and safety of police personnel and community members inside the precinct, CS gas was used to disperse the crowd. Several demonstrators picked up the canisters of CS gas and threw it at the police.

Around 2:56 a.m., demonstrators began looting and setting fire to businesses in the area. Several business windows were broken and fires were set to property. By 3:30 a.m., a majority of the crowd had dispersed.

Numerous officers sustained minor injuries. One officer was taken to the hospital for a more serious injury. All officers are expected to make a full recovery.

4 arrests were made over the course of the evening, including arrests for assaults or attempted assaults on Police Officers. Information on arrests is still being compiled and an updated release will be published when this information becomes available.

The dynamics of the demonstrators during this incident were more aggressive and violent than those seen in past weeks.
