Tell him to study "the hard problem" of consciousness. The scientism in medicine is a mine field of technocrats. There are subjective, intersubjective, and spiritual aspects of the brain/mind. Medicine as it currently stands won't prepare anyone to heal the mind just based on objective biology alone.
