Mission

Turn Recruits into Troops

I think Scouts are correct Squad for this?

As they are eyes on battlefield.

 

Description

New "recruits" are volunteering by the minute.

They have announced their willingness, they just don't have a mission.

Scout can find them and task them.

They don't have to come here to get their mission if instead we find them.

I might actually better if they don't have to keep an eye on these boards.

(This place is confusing, hard to navigate, and slightly intimidating.

It took me years of lurking various boards before I ever had enough courage to post.)

 

Instructions

"Wolfpack Scouts" [good name? they are building a pack] should build a list system, a Recruit 2 Troop List System [RTL]

Search #hashtags to build [RTL]

 

Examples:

But by far the most powerful is:

Use Twitter "lists"

<Create three private lists for yourself:

1st: [@Recruits]

2nd: [@Waiting]

3rd: [@Troop]

 

Populate [@Recruit] list with users found searching above #Hashtags (20 - 50 at first)

When campaign is active @mention a random [@Recruit] in the post.

Then immediately remove the person from [@Recruit] list (1) and put them in [@Waiting] list (2).

NEVER send a SECOND un-solicited @mention to users in [@Waiting] list, it's spam, they may resent it.

You've invited them already by mentioning them, they need to accept the invitation.

Sending only one however is a subtle introduction will likely generate interest.

 

If they follow you, only then, move them into [@Troop] list (3)

This is your squad, YOUR Troops, (May be fun to come up with a respectable name)

if they have followed you their task is to repost and amplify what you post.

Later on, selectively task your enthusiastic [@Troops] with creating their own squad

 

Caution

Handle with care, #TakeTheOath 'ers might be more eager than is healthy.

This is a slow process.

Equivalent to a DRIP investment

It could take a while to build a good Squad of 8-10

Maybe it's more for Assault? I don't know.

But, it's a good technique and what I have noticed in reading thru tags being used here in campaigns is that there are Targets mentioned, Cuomo/Newsom, etc but there are almost never regular users @mentioned. All these eager #Oathies have no idea a campaign is even happening. If they new they would most likely jump in enthusiatically.

 

Oh and I saw someone said Wolves were Nazi, but I think they are damn cool.
