This Sub Saharan Dust Storm is illogical!

How did it maintain it's size for so long only to rain muddy water down on USA? 5000 miles and NOW it falls to the ground?

Why didn't the winds blowing the dust particles create lightening?

When mixed with clouds, wouldn't it become mud and heavy? Fall?

Why is it raining muddy raindrops now but not 5000 miles ago?
