Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt Joins Al Sharpton to Promote Boycott of ‘Hate’

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), joined Al Sharpton on MSNBC on Sunday evening to promote a boycott effort against Facebook to force the social media giant to ban certain political advertisements.

The “Stop the Hate” campaign includes several far-left wing groups, including those that have been involved in efforts to boycott news media. (One, Sleeping Giants, has admitted that its boycott efforts have resulted in a broader withdrawal by advertisers from news media in general.)

Greenblatt joined Sharpton — not for the first time — despite Sharpton’s documented history of hate speech, including racism, antisemitism, and homophobia.

Greenblatt commented on President Donald Trump’s earlier retweet of a video of a clash among protesters in The Villages, in Florida, during which one white protester shouted “White Power.” (The president deleted the retweet, and the White House stated that he had not heard the words.)

The President of the United States seems “only able to divide and not unite,” Greenblatt said.

Greenblatt said nothing about the antisemitic and racist rhetoric of Black Lives Matter protests, including the vandalism of several synagogues, and the ransacking of kosher markets and other Jewish-owned stores in Los Angeles earlier this month.

“We are committed right now to fighting the hate that threatens us all,” Greenblatt said, boasting that several major advertisers had withdrawn support from Facebook.

It was a successful effort, he said, “to finally hold Mark Zuckerberg accountable.”

Ironically, the ADL opposes boycotts of Israel through the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which falsely accuses Israel of the same kind of racism that the ADL says it is fighting in the United States.

Later Sunday afternoon, CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge reported that according to a senior intel official, the GRU/Taliban bounty allegations were not in the President’s Daily Brief (PDB), backing the President’s claims.

“The official confirmed the NSC has been doing “due diligence,” and going back through their files since the story broke Friday, and they have not found the “intelligence assessment” described in media reporting.” Herridge said.

41% Of Businesses On Yelp Have Permanently Closed As V-Shaped Recovery Implodes

President Trump's economic COVID-19 response, through massive fiscal and monetary stimuli, was expected to generate a V-shaped recovery ahead of the elections. We noted, all along, there was never a snowball's chance in hell that economic growth would revert to 2019 levels later this year; nevertheless, the labor market would fully recover.

If readers recall, President Trump has given several press conferences where he declared that the economy is quickly recovering: "We've been talking about the V," the president said. "This is better than a V. This is a rocket ship."

A new report via Yelp, tilted "Local Economic Impact Report," debunks the V-shaped narrative and tells a much different story of slow reopenings and widespread permanent closures, all suggesting the economic devastation continues to crush the economy with no recovery in sight.

Yelp data shows large swathes of Americans remain in deep recession through mid-June. Since April 19, only 20% of the 175,000 Yelp-registered stores that were closed during lockdowns have reopened.

"As of June 15, there were nearly 140,000 total business closures on Yelp since March 1. In April, we reported more than 175,000 business closures, indicating that more than 20% of businesses closed in April have reopened.

"Las Vegas, NV, endured the highest number of closures relative to the number of businesses in the city (1,921 total closures), while Los Angeles, CA, had the largest total number of closures (11,774 total closures)."

California Gov. Newsom orders bars closed in counties including Los Angeles, citing coronavirus

The closures affect several counties, including the most populous in the U.S.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday ordered bars to close in counties including Los Angeles, while recommending closures in some other counties, citing the spread of the coronavirus.

The order from Newsom, a Democrat, affected the counties of Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Kings, San Joaquin, Tulare, and Los Angeles – the most populous in the United States. State officials have asked at least eight other counties to issue local health orders closing bars.

Officials in Texas and Florida have made similar moves, essentially pausing parts of their states' economic comebacks as cases spike.

"COVID-19 is still circulating in California, and in some parts of the state, growing stronger," Newsom announced in a written statement. "That's why it is critical we take this step to limit the spread of the virus in the counties that are seeing the biggest increases."

The governor's decision Sunday represented a marked turn from recent decisions to let local officials decide how and when to let businesses re-open.

Earlier this month, Newsom ordered all Californians to wear masks while out in public amid concerns that residents have failed to voluntarily take precautions.

California, like other states, has recorded a startling increase in cases, casting doubt on whether to continue the course on re-opening the economy.

Tens of thousands of coronavirus tests have been double-counted, officials admit

Two samples taken from the same patient are being recorded as two separate tests in the Government's official figures

Tens of thousands of Covid-19 tests have been double-counted in the Government’s official tally, public health officials have admitted.

Diagnostic tests which involve taking saliva and nasal samples from the same patient are being counted as two tests, not one.

The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England each confirmed the double-counting.

This inflates the daily reported diagnostic test numbers by over 20 per cent, with that proportion being much higher earlier on in the crisis before home test kits were added to the daily totals.

Almost 350,000 more tests have been reported in Government data than people tested since the start of the pandemic.

The discrepancy is in large part explained by the practice of counting salvia and nasal samples for the same individual twice.

Public Health England oversee the testing of patients who are seriously ill in hospital, as well as the most critical key workers.

The test involves a swab from the mouth and nose as well as a sample of saliva. Although both of these are taken from the same patient, they are counted twice by the Government in its daily data.

It is not the first time the Government has been caught massaging the testing data. It was accused last month of including thousands of home tests which had been posted but not completed in a bid to reach its target of 100,000 tests.

Jon Ashworth MP, Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary, said: “Ministers have already received an embarrassing slap on the wrists for their dodgy spin on testing figures. It seems they haven’t learnt their lesson. We need absolute transparency in the presentation of these figures”.

The Government announced at the beginning of May that it would be extending its target from 100,000 tests per day to 200,000 tests per day. But so far it has only hit the 100,000 target nine times in the 20 days since its introduction.

Global health experts said the Government should stop fixating on its arbitrary targets and instead focus on making testing work to drive down Covid-19 infections in the UK.

U.S. University Requiring Both Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines for Students to Enter Campus

Those who don’t believe that mandatory vaccines couldn’t happen in America should really pay attention now.

Many U.S. health officials and pharmaceutical operatives are claiming that the only way for society to “return to normal” is for every person to receive a vaccination, otherwise it will take ‘far longer’ for humans to reach collective immunity against COVID-19. While this top-down narrative does not reflect reality, few in the media or politics seem brave enough to challenge it.

While there may be tens of billions being poured into the race for a COVID vaccine, it should be pointed out that all previous attempts at an effective coronavirus vaccine have failed, and that there is a much higher risk it will not be safe by virtue of how fast the industry and governments are moving – skipping animal trials and going straight to human rials but not allowing sufficient time to conduct long-term studying on efficacy and side effects. The great rush is being justified by the panic rallying cry of “we can’t wait to act,” even though the virus no longer poses a serious threat to the populations in general. History shows us that rushing development will likely lead to catastrophic failure, but the pharmaceutical industry may not care because they will have already received legal immunity from the government which protects them from mass lawsuits if their experimental vaccine happens to injure or kill many people upon deployment.

The legal imperative for any mandatory vaccinations will likely come under the guise of “emergency measures” (see story below). In fact, some leading American legal bodies are now advocating for mandatory COVID vaccines on this basis, despite the fact that over 99% of the population are not at any real risk of complications from the virus.

“Some Americans may push back on the COVID-19 vaccination for religious, philosophical or personal reasons,” says the report released on Thursday by the NYSBA, but, it says, “for the sake of public health, mandatory vaccinations for COVID-19 should be required in the United States as soon as it is available.”

In terms of universities and schools, it’s likely that such a mandate will not be restricted to just students and faculty either – it will also include all staff, and even visitors to a campus. The danger here is that if educational institutions are so brazen as to implement this level of medical martial law, then for purely economic reasons other partnering institutions and businesses within their orbit may be forced to align with this policy too. This process of normalization of supposed public health ‘governance’ can then be very easily scaled up to a city, state, national, or international level.

Unidentified Aircraft Struck Positions Of Iranian-backed Forces Near Al-Bukamal: Reports

On June 28, unidentified aircraft (most likely Israeli) struck positions of Iranian-backed forces near the town of al-Bukamal, on the western bank of the Euphrates in eastern Syria, according to reports by pro-militant sources. The strikes allegedly hit positions of pro-Iranian forces in the al-Sayyal area supposedly killing 9 personnel and destroyed a weapon depot.

Reports specualte that the June 28 strike was the second in the last 2 days. A day earlier, on June 27, airstrike allegedly hit the area of the village of Al-Abbas near al-Bukamal injuring at least 4 fighters.

Last week, pro-Iranian groups deployed additional reinforcements to the al-Bukamal and al-Mayadin countrysides in order to contain the intensifying ISIS attacks in the desert area. Nonetheless, it seems that some parties are not happy to see these efforts.
