It seems pretty vacuous to take an oath for an office that the oath taker does not hold. What office is being assumed? I think there needs to be a "US Citizen Civilian Oath of Constitutional and Civic Duty" instead of an oath used for gov't officials or military enlistees and copied wholesale and used for another purpose.
