No official results on CDC doctor's death. Fulton County Medical Examiner almost certainly would not declare cause of death until toxicology results are completed by their lab, unless the samples were sent to the GBI Crime Lab.
FCME said there were no signs of foul play, and that preliminary cause of death is drowning, as of last Thursday afternoon.
Couple of other things about the CDC doctor:
His home was near the Chattahoochee River
He was known to be a runner and body was found wearing running shoes
He was an avid collector of crystals, and 3 crystals were found in his pocket.
Fulton Co Medical Examiner said that condition of the body was consistent with having been in the river since he was first reported missing.
