Call for Lawfags!

Q has asked us to swear in to an office of honor with the US government. Can this be held to be an actual office? We have already been given a task, and now we are sworn in. What would make this active service?

Would a member of Qteam have to go public, so we could be an agent of their agency for this to be legally recognized?

And if legally recognized, would we be protected from interference by outside parties if sworn in?

My working concept is that Flynn becomes SecDef, Q is announced, Flynn is confirmed as team member, and those who took the oath are revealed as being legally recognized participants in an ongoing DoD counterterrorism op. Need lawfag opinion on the web of legalities however.
