Hi. I would recommend the NASB and ESV most. I think NKJV or KJV is good too but I normally don't read that one.
I also like reading the Passion translation or the Message sometimes as its more vernacular.
The first two focus on accuracy the second two focus on trying to get across the meaning.
Overall reading different translations is good.
