And Catholic priests have been preaching Marxism in Central and South America for decades. Then in the U.S. there's the U.S. Counsel of Catholic Bishops. They've been pushing Leftism for decades also.
So the excuse that just this present Poop is the guilty party is nonsense. Read the encyclical of 1963. They've been doing this for decades.
Now they're playing good cop, bad cop. The Vatican has always played one side against the other, and when it suits their fancy, they'll kiss one side if it seems they are getting the upper hand, or perhaps to deceive them.
