Time for a new pandemic? Maybe China pig flu, as you alluded. But another "novel" virus from China might be a little too obvious. I would watch for a more boring narrative, like a measles outbreak caused by vaccination-cautious people (the ones they call anti-vaxxers). It provides the same benefit to them by introducing pre-election chaos, makes an easy target of the conservative small-government independent folks, and advances the vaccination mandate agenda all at once.
