10,000,000 cases globally, 500,000 deaths (couple of days ago)
According to John Hopkins that is. So they're still pushing 5%. They don't post the death numbers per country in this article though, I suspect they wouldn't track. And of course it comes down to testing, knowing the actual denominator of the equation.
The number of cases of coronavirus worldwide has passed 10 million, according to analysis from Johns Hopkins University.
They said the global death toll was nearing 500,000.
They said the US had the most number of confirmed cases, with 2,510,323. Brazil followed, with 1,313,667.
The UK had the fifth highest number of confirmed cases globally according to the university, with 311,739.
It comes as China extended Covid-19 tests to newly reopened salons amid a drop in cases, while South Korea continues to face new infections after it eased social distancing rules to boost the economy.
