Connecticut GOP Calls on ‘Democratic Party’ to Change Name: ‘Years of Racial Oppression’

The Connecticut GOP called upon the “Democratic Party” to change its name Monday, issuing a resolution that asserts Democrats must address “the hundreds of years of racial oppression, violence, and multiple violations of human rights” associated with their party. “We believe it is vital that every citizen know the truth about the so-called party of inclusion and acceptance,” said the state GOP Chairman J.R. Romano in a press release. He continued: If we are to hold Christopher Columbus accountable over 500 years after the fact, it is our duty and moral obligation to hold the Democratic Party accountable. As recently as 1977, Joe Biden sought the support of segregationists. Biden has publicly stated that ‘you ain’t black’ unless you support the Democratic Nominee. Statements like this bring back the ugly imaginary of political cartoons like ‘Of Course He wants to vote Democrat Ticket.’”

The resolution states Connecticut Republicans “deem it necessary that the Democratic Party change its name due to the Party’s long tragic legacy denying Americans basic human rights,” including:

Democrats blocked the first attempt to ratify the 13th Amendment in 1863.

Democrats unanimously voted against the 14th Amendment giving former slaves citizenship.

Democrats unanimously voted against the 15th Amendment giving former slaves the right to vote.

Democrats instituted Jim Crow laws across Democrat led states, preventing African Americans the right to vote.

Democrats held the longest filibuster in U.S Senate history to block the civil rights act 1957.

“Democratic Parties around the country have been stripping buildings, monuments, and pictures from government halls, yet the atrocities rest with the Democratic Party as a whole,” Romano said. “To kill the serpent you need to strike at the head.”

Believe you miss the point which is important: Connecticut and most Northeastern states are wholly Democrat. The fact that this resolution took place at all is huge, this action is not something that would have even been a consideration just a year ago. The Republican Party has a very small footprint in those areas, the majority of voters are either Democrat or Independent.

REPORT: John Bolton Personally Briefed Trump On Russia-Taliban Bounties In 2019

Former national security advisor John Bolton reportedly told administration officials that he personally briefed President Donald Trump on the alleged bounties Russia paid to Taliban-backed fighters to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the Associated Press reported Monday evening. The new information suggests senior White House officials were aware of the alleged bounties a year earlier than previously reported by the AP, the New York Times, and other outlets. Trump, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, and current national security advisor Robert O’Brien have all denied the reports. McEnany said that though low level intelligence officials were monitoring the information, the intelligence community had yet to form a consensus on the information’s veracity and therefore had not yet specifically briefed the president on their findings.

“While the White House does not routinely comment on alleged intelligence or internal deliberations, the CIA director, NSA, national security adviser and the chief of staff can all confirm that neither the president nor the vice president were briefed on the alleged Russian bounty intelligence,” she told reporters at Monday’s press briefing. “There is no consensus within the intelligence community on these allegations, and, in effect, they are dissenting opinions from some in the intelligence community with regards to the veracity of what’s being reported, and the veracity of the underlying allegations continue to be evaluated.” Later that evening, O’Brien released a lengthy statement.

“Over the past several days, the New York Times and other news outlets have reported on allegations regarding our troops in Afghanistan. While we do not normally discuss such matters, we constantly evaluate intelligence reports and brief the President as necessary,” he wrote. “Because the allegations in recent press articles have not been verified or substantiated by the Intelligence Community, President Trump had not been briefed on the items. Nevertheless, the Administration, including the National Security Council staff, have been preparing should the situation warrant action.” He went on to call apparent leaks to the press, on this specific topic and others, “a betrayal.”

“To those government officials who betray the trust of the people of the United States by leaking classified information, your actions endanger our national security. No matter the motivation, there is never a justification for such conduct,” O’Brien continued. “Let me be clear that there is nothing more important to President Trump than America’s security and the safety of our men and women in uniform. He has demonstrated this commitment time and again.” Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Gina Haspel, who rarely comments publicly on intelligence matters, also released a statement Monday night condemning the reports for allegedly disrupting the intelligence community’s ability to investigate the actual veracity of the bounties themselves.

Republican members of Congress briefed Monday by the White House issued similar critiques of the media. Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks, who was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 and 2015 with the U.S. Navy reserves, said following the brief that “we’ll likely never know the truth … Because the @nytimes used unconfirmed intel in an ONGOING investigation into targeted killing of American soldiers in order to smear the President. The blood is on their hands.”

You miss the point. "DR3" or "Dems are the real racists" has not and will not ever work. You are operating from a defensive position inside the lefts moral framework which is "whites are racist" aka "whites are evil".

No saying the name change will work..what I am saying and have said is that this action would have never been a consideration..R's in these states in the past would have never made such a call. This action is speaking mostly to the Independent/Unaffiliated Voters in this state. Whose numbers are larger than either of those parties. Independents are the Silent Majority. Why?, because these voters have no voice in any primaries. They don't have a say in who the candidates will be on the ballots come election day.

While agree with what you are saying the sad fact is this: The history of the Real D party has been buried in these states. People/Voters don't know the history of this party. Here's what they do know: Their families have voted Democrat their whole lives, much like religion it is as if this party is given to them..many up until a few years ago would not think of converting to another party much less rock the boat. All this thing does is give food for thought and try in some small way to make people take a good look at history.

>Here's the sad truth that you have to grasp. The southern democrats that you all lambast as "racist" did in actual fact…

>

>…become republicans…

>

>Political re-alignment happens over the course of time and it did in this instance.

>

>My point is that strategy by R's loses because of what "conservative pundit" is trying to explain in that dailycaller interview in 2016.

>

>People do it because they are still indoctrinated by the left. Rather than "outliberal" the liberals on "racism". It would be more effective to point out how this "anti racism" agenda is a scam to destroy white Americans and America in general. Period.

>

>It's time to take your own side rather than all these Democrat "minorities" who hate you because of their Indocrination.

>

>DR3 is a scam by CONservative inc. so they can be considered legitimate by the left and get careers and be on tv.

Rhino's are a huge part of the R party..No Doubt..But you made an assumption as to my affiliation..You couldn't be moar wrong. I'll leave it at that!
